Don’t worry – you do not have to be a millionaire to visit India, and the country has always been very popular with back-packers and budget travellers.  There are cheap hotels in India, some better than others, so read the reviews before you book.  Hostels in India are also popular and plentiful but once again, it is wise to do some research before you do your hotel booking in India.
